Isomo Launches New Ikaze Refugee Impact Scholarship with ASYV

The team is currently Isomo, in partnership with Agahozo Shalom Youth Village (ASYV), has launched the Ikaze Refugee Impact Scholarship (IRIS), a new initiative dedicated to expanding opportunities for resilient, high-achieving refugee students in Rwanda. IRIS identifies promising Senior 3 (high school freshman) students and equips them with mentorship, academic support, and leadership training to help them transition to Rwanda’s top boarding schools. The team is currently on a two-week roadshow, visiting five refugee camps and 17 high schools to introduce IRIS and guide students through the application process. This year, 50 students will be selected to join the program and participate in an intensive two-week boot camp at ASYV this summer, where they will sharpen their skills and prepare for an exciting new chapter at one of IRIS’s partner boarding schools this fall.
