Isomo Concludes First Year of Isomo Circles with Model Umushyikirano
This month, Isomo celebrated the successful conclusion of the first year of Isomo Circles, an innovative, learner-centered model developed to transform how students learn, think, and engage with the world around them. We closed the year with Isomo’s annual Model Umushyikirano event that brought together all 188 Isomo Circle students from 12 high schools around the country. As part of the celebration, we spotlighted two standout schools — ENDP and ES Ruhango —to capture each schools experience participating in Isomo Circles this year!
For the two-day event, students were assigned to delegations within real-world institutions—both public and private—where they analyzed case packages containing key data, challenges, and questions tied to the country’s Sustainable Development Goals. They were able to hone their public speaking skills and also find innovative solutions to some of Africa’s most pressing challenges. We are so proud of everything that these students accomplished this year!
ENDP led the way with exceptional teamwork and engagement, earning them recognition as the most active Circle in the program!
ES Ruhango impressed with their creativity and dedication, setting a powerful example of what student-led learning can achieve!
