The 2026 Isomo Circles Launch Brings Together 1,000 Students

Isomo began the new year with energy, momentum, and vision at the 2026 Isomo Circles Launch—a landmark event that brought together education leaders, school partners, and more than 1,000 students from 40 schools across 29 districts. As the program enters its second year, the gathering was more than a ceremonial kickoff; it was a powerful recommitment to excellence, growth, and collective responsibility in advancing student success nationwide.

Featured on RwandaTV, the launch served both as a celebration and a call to action. Leaders emphasized the importance of taking learning seriously, maintaining consistent mentorship, and building educational ecosystems that foster meaningful progress. The message was clear: transformation happens not through isolated moments, but through sustained effort, accountability, and belief in student potential.

At its core, Isomo Circles is designed to help students cultivate strong academic habits, critical thinking skills, and the leadership competencies required to succeed in a rapidly evolving, 21st-century economy. Through structured discussions, collaborative learning, and intentional mentorship, students are developing the confidence to think more deeply, communicate more effectively, and contribute more boldly to their schools and communities.

This year represents a major milestone for the program. What began with 200 students in its first year has grown fivefold to reach more than 1,000 learners in 2026—a testament to both its impact and the demand for innovative, structured academic support. The expansion across 40 schools signals growing trust from educators and school leaders who see firsthand how the Isomo Circles model strengthens student performance and engagement.

Looking ahead, the vision is even more ambitious. By 2027, Isomo aims to expand nationwide to 100 schools, making its curriculum and technology accessible to thousands more young Africans. The long-term dream is not simply growth in numbers, but growth in opportunity—equipping the next generation with the tools, mindset, and networks needed to shape Rwanda’s future and contribute meaningfully to the continent’s development.

The 2026 launch was therefore more than the start of a new academic year. It was a declaration of belief: that when students are consistently supported and intentionally challenged, extraordinary things can happen.
