Here at Ravel, we believe that the way the world communicates helps shape the way the world is. And that now, more than ever, there is the opportunity to harness powerful creative communications to make positive change in the world.
Who We Are
Ravel is a social purpose creative strategy and communications agency that specialises in building and managing impactful brands, campaigns and content.
A global network founded in Rwanda, we are a flexible and agile team united by our passion for communications that inspire positive, real-world impact in people’s lives.
We have honed our craft working for leading-edge commercial, development and creative organisations and have collaborated with incredible teams throughout the world.
From global strategies to on-the-ground implementation, developing theories of change and behaviour change content to building brands that ignite, unite, transform, and inspire – we understand the role communication plays in shaping beliefs, attitudes, and behaviour and what it means to create experiences that provoke thought, drive conversations, and motivate change.
The Role:
We are looking for a leader for our activities here in Rwanda to help shape our work and lead our small but growing team.
This role will be based in Kigali and you will be both a key member of the global Ravel leadership team as well as having direct responsibility for leading activities and operations within Rwanda and regionally including:
- The day to day running of our office including Finance & HR.
- Managing our small but growing team of brilliant Ravel staff and consultants.
- Creating, maintaining and building relationships with Ravel’s vendors, authorities and other useful partners.
- Holding the relationships with our fantastic Ravel clients and ensuring we understand their business and deliver high impact work against their objectives.
- Leading or overseeing the project management of each of our core Ravel and client projects.
- Connecting the Ravel Rwanda team and its work with the Ravel global team – feeding in insights and expertise into global projects and drawing down support where required to Ravel Rwanda projects.
- Business development on behalf of Ravel.
Your Responsibilities:
Ravel sits at the intersection of the private, not for profit, and creative sectors and, as such, you may come from any of these backgrounds bringing significant leadership experience of both people and operations.
As an organisation still in ‘start-up mode’ we are looking for an enthusiastic doer, someone who can roll their sleeves up and get stuck in, someone who loves the process as well as the outcome.
You’ll be able to show us examples of projects you have delivered yourself, and when you have managed teams to deliver it for clients. Specific experience in brand strategy, creative or communications is an advantage, but not a must.
You’ll be committed, creative and caring, you’ll know what it takes to deliver brilliant work, how to problem-solve when things don’t go quite according to plan and how to hold a team together along the way.
You will be an incredible project manager with an eye for both the big picture as well as all the small but ever so important details.
You’ll believe in the power of creativity and know that it’s not just where you get to with a project but how you get there and who you get there with that matters just as much.
You’ll be a natural networker, helping us build on our connections and networks and ensuring Ravel Rwanda continues to meet and develop new partnerships and possibilities.
Overall, you will be excited about being on this journey with us and where we can get to together.
We are looking forward to meeting you.
