20 Scholars Attend 2025 Lefrak Summit in NYC
Earlier this month, 20 Isomo Scholars selected as LeFrak-Friedberg Scholars attended the annual LeFrak Summit in NYC, where they had the opportunity to learn from and network with top executives while visiting offices of diverse industries, including the New York Film Academy, Citadel, Bank of America, Fiduciary Trust, Goldman Sachs and Robinhood.
Scholars had the opportunity to share their personal stories and dreams for the future during an event with over 100 special guests from the NYC area. The LeFrak-Friedberg Scholars Program has now grown to 89 students, with 41 currently attending schools across the US, 24 attending African universities, and 24 graduates. A heartfelt thank you to Francine LeFrak and Rick Friedberg for their ongoing partnership and support for these Scholars.
Meet Francine A. LeFrak
Francine A. LeFrak is a philanthropist and women’s rights advocate who founded Same Sky Foundation to empower marginalized women through job opportunities. Starting with Rwandan genocide survivors and later helping formerly incarcerated women in the U.S., her foundations provide job training and education to help women rise out of poverty.
