Africa Scholars Highlight: Queen, University of Global Health Equity
Isomo Scholar, Queen Gihozo, is a freshman at the University of Global Health Equity (UGHE) with the goal of becoming a medical doctor. With a keen focus on addressing healthcare disparities, Queen aims to not only provide care for patients but also tackle the underlying challenges faced by rural communities. She believes that studying on the continent offers unparalleled opportunities to understand ground-level issues and implement solutions from an early stage. Through her education, she is gaining valuable insights into systemic challenges that perpetuate poverty and inequality and the skills required to confront these issues head-on.
